Research into WoLLoW – Evidence Review

The review argues that WoLLoW can be usefully conceptualised as a theoretically informed language-awareness and plurilingual curriculum that responds constructively to several persistent challenges in primary languages provision. Rather than treating WoLLoW as a finished or universally transferable solution, the report positions it as a promising curriculum model whose value lies in making language diversity visible, discussable, and educationally meaningful within primary classrooms.  It situates WoLLoW within these wider debates in order to consider how the programme contributes to contemporary discussions about the purposes and possibilities of primary language education.
